TUNABLE AERIAL FILTER Many receivers, especially wideband scanners, are prone to breakthrough from strong signals which are outside the band you are listening to. Apart from the annoyance, in some cases the wanted signal is completely swamped. |
The GAREX AERIAL FILTER can often be the answer. It features a high-Q tuned circuit which "sucks out" the frequency to which it is tuned. Fit it in-line between the aerial and the receiver, then tune the filter to the UNWANTED frequency which is thereby reduced in strength by up to 30dB. This is usually sufficient rejection to render the wanted signal free of interference and your listening becomes a pleasure again.
The GAREX FILTER can be used with any receiver covering from 25MHz upwards. The filter itself covers 85 – 175MHz which is the frequency range where most of the problem signals arise, e.g. Band II, paging, police.
It also incorporates a High pass Filter to reduce Medium and Short Wave breakthrough.
The GAREX FILTER is built into an internally RF shielded plastic box
with BNC input and output connectors, and is supplied with a BNC patch lead for connection to the receiver. No power supply is needed.
Dimensions: 79 x 61 x 40mm.
